Product Details
Melanotan-2 is a synthetic cyclic 7-amino-acid analogue of α-MSH. The cyclization confers enzymatic stability and broad melanocortin-receptor activity (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, MC5R).
Mechanism of Action. MT-2 engages multiple melanocortin receptors. MC1R activation drives eumelanin synthesis; MC4R activation engages central appetite and sexual-function pathways; MC3R/MC5R contribute to inflammation and exocrine modulation.
Applications. Melanocortin-receptor pharmacology, MC4R-pathway research, comparative α-MSH-analogue studies, sexual-function neuropeptide investigation.
